Farmland Protection | Food Systems

This report sought to understand whether or not East Windsor Township, NJ, should adopt agricultural zoning within its agricultural areas to protect the industry and continue the farmland protection efforts of the township.  It explores if the township should downzone and what legal concerns might arise from such a change. The report provides recommendations on further actions the township can take to strengthen its position, including developing agricultural economic and farmland preservation plans.
