&Access creates data-driven and design centric retail real estate, urban planning, and economic development solutions with an expertise in serving historically excluded entrepreneurs and under-invested neighborhoods. Our team has worked with government agencies and planning departments across the nation to deliver implementable solutions, including:
Montgomery County Planning Department (MD) — Retail In Diverse Community Plan; designed strategies to preserve and grow minority-owned, independent retail clusters in Wheaton, Silver Spring, and Takoma/Langley, three neighborhoods with increased public real estate and transportation investments.
Mayor's Office of Nightlife & Culture Annual Report + Strategic Plan (Washington, DC); developed a strategic plan to address pandemic induced economic disruptions.
Small Business Anti-Displacement Network (national); co-lead a team delivering solutions to organizations across the nation to protect small businesses in gentrifying communities.
Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC) — Michigan Avenue Corridor Activation Plan; created a strategy to decrease vacancy in commercial properties along Michigan Avenue through strategic engagement with land-owning stakeholders and community organizations.
Tulsa's Global District Plan (OK); engaging with a multi-phased project to support brick-and-mortar, food truck, vendor, and informal businesses planning and policy interventions.
