The position conducts various activities related to community revitalization efforts including neighborhood planning, downtown revitalization, and the city's homeless program.

Planning responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing staff support to the Planning Commission and the Shawnee Continuum of Care, researching and applying local ordinances, assisting in the development of neighborhood revitalization activities, assisting with the establishment of a downtown revitalization program, and participating in periodic reviews and updates of the City Ordinances and Plans.

This position operates under the direction of the Community Development Director.
