MORE SESSION DETAILS
Visit and get highlights of three to five East Bay TOD sites at BART stations in various stages of planning and development, in the context of BART’s new systemwide TOD policy. Moving south to north, the tour we will stop briefly at the following sites:
• Bay Fair TOD area (transitioning mall, subject of the new Bay Fair TOD Specific Plan)
• Macarthur (After 10 years in the works, it's finally going vertical)
• Lake Merritt (RFP process underway)
• downtown Oakland (existing stations and urban city center context, with significant changes occurring after many years at both 19th and 12th. This stop is an opportunity to explore on your own for lunch.
At some stations, there is time to walk around. For others, we will do a quick stop or point out key features from the train or platform, including for additional stations such as Fruitvale or Coliseum.
