Grayfields Reuse and Redevelopment

To prevent ghost boxes, Peachtree City requires that rental agreements for spaces over 10 thousand square feet include a provision that prevents the occupant from voluntarily vacating the premises while preventing the landlord from leasing the space to someone else. It suggests one way the occupant might do so is by continuing to pay rent despite having vacated (§1006.3.a.6).
