This report collects and analyzes data, biennially, on bicycling and walking in all 50 states, the 52 largest U.S. cities, and a select number of midsized cities. In addition to basic statistics on use and safety, it gathers data from across the nation and examines select programs, as well as discusses Vision Zero integration, etc. Although this extensive and exhaustive report was produced by an advocacy organization, it is principally funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The report’s three stated goals are to: promote data collection and availability, measure progress and evaluate results, and support efforts to increase bicycling and walking.
