This report examines the benefits and costs of cycling facilities at a state level. The analysis focuses on the impact on the population’s health and the economy through tourism and recreation revenue. The authors value the recreational cycling contributes more than $924 million in economic activity to the their state, with $533 million in direct impact occurring annually.  Of the combined impacts, more than $535 million is attributable to bicyclists from other states. They argue that additional investment will have a multiplier effect.
