This guide synthesizes the specifications from the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials guidelines, and applies them to all of Austin’s transportation facilities.  Section 7: Bikeways addresses the cities has three different types of bicycle facilities: (1) Bicycle Path, (2) Bicycle Lane and (3) Bicycle Street.
