ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION

This comprehensive plan element focuses on equitable access to a growing network of bicycle and pedestrian facilities. It aims to bridge a gap between such facilities as the extensive Indianapolis Cultural Trail and underserved areas and populations. Specifically, the planners seek to address major pedestrian barriers, from natural features to highways; lack of sidewalk connectivity and coverage; lack of access for persons with disabilities; gaps in trail coverage; and poor connections to transit service.
