ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION

This functional plan is an extension of the city’s general plan, which looks to promote walking as a commute alternative and for short trips. The city faces a spatial challenge with network connectivity, especially in previously unincorporated areas. With an eye towards sidewalk network connectivity and walking routes, the plan gathers in one place its sidewalk inventory, comprehensive planning goals, existing regulations, and potential funding sources.
