This functional plan focuses on expanding an already robust on- and off-street network of bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Seattle has regularly updated their plans and continues to add both metrics and broader discussions, while honing their priorities. The plan integrates the other modes into its extensive discussions. In addition to traditional discussions of facilities and benefits of active transportation, it includes a thorough equity analysis for their facilities. The implementation process is documented, and includes a maintenance plan.
