Active transportation

The city’s zoning code requires that all new development—with the exception of mixed-use development in the CBD and at transit centers, where it will be provided by the city—include bicycle parking according to broad use-specific standards (§19.609). The code illustrates an example of a short-term bicycle parking space interacting with the sidewalk in the public right of way, off-street parking, and a building entrance.
