This standalone policy addresses urban agriculture. It encourages community gardening by supporting the development of new sites and the retention of existing ones. It defines community gardens, sets community-garden related goals, lists ways in which the city will support community gardens, establishes conditions of use for community gardens sited on city-owned land, and offers guidelines to consider for selecting new garden sites.
