Outdoor Lighting 

The city addresses outdoor lighting in the miscellaneous standards division of its zoning code (§VII-1402). Regulations apply to nonresidential and multifamily residential buildings and projects and are intended to allow for safe, efficient, and consistent lighting without intrusion on adjacent properties.

The code offers general site lighting design requirements that address fixtures, fixture height, light sources, mounting, hours, and illumination levels, with tables detailing minimum, average, and maximum lighting levels for different contexts. Further standards focus on defining and preventing excessive illumination.
