Group Housing

The county's land development code defines and regulates two types of community residences: family community residences and transitional community residences (Ordinance 2021-022). The distinction between these uses is based on length of stay, rather than number of occupants.

Transfer of Development Rights

The county’s land development code authorizes transfer of development rights (TDR) for the preservation of agricultural and environmentally sensitive lands. TDR standards address sending and receiving area eligibility, transfer procedure, and operations of a TDR bank (Article V, Ch.G, §3).
