Creative Placemaking

The city’s administrative code creates a public arts commission to engage in creative placemaking by including arts in public spaces. It encourages citizens and other stakeholders to provide and support public art, engage in community education and public outreach, and promote the economic vitality of the city through placemaking. Selected art piece promote the identity of neighborhoods and business districts (§1.180(b)).
