Wildland-Urban Interface

This act encourages communities to develop community wildfire protection plans (CWPPs) in order to reduce their wildland fire risk and promote healthier forested ecosystems. It discusses measures to protect communities, watersheds, and certain other at-risk lands from catastrophic wildfire, and to enhance efforts to protect and address threats against the same.

This legislation emphasizes on hazardous fuels reduction projects on federal lands. It intends to assist the community and various stakeholders in restoring forest health and watershed conditions.
