Wildland-Urban Interface

This act authorizes a program for pre-disaster mitigation, to streamline the administration of disaster relief, to control the Federal costs of disaster assistance, and for other purposes. It provides the legal basis for FEMA mitigation planning requirements for different government agencies emphasizing the need for entities to closely coordinate mitigation planning and implementation efforts.
