This web page provides information about California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). CAL FIRE aims to manage and protect California's natural resources. To accomplish this goal, it conducts regular assessments and studies of the State's natural resources and an extensive CAL FIRE Resource Management Program. It also oversees enforcement of California's forest practice regulations. The mission of this organization is protection of life and property through fire prevention engineering programs, law and code enforcement and education.
