Affordable Housing Programs
This report emphasizes the importance of preserving existing affordable housing in order to maintain affordability more generally. It shares strategies that have worked at the state and local levels to incentivize preservation and summarizes its case studies in Table 1.
Historic Preservation
This report lays out the opportunities and challenges of using historic preservation to maintain and increase affordable housing stock. It uses six case studies to highlight five lessons related to local and state resources, developer capacity, collaboration, local policy context, and policy networks.
