Course Details

Officials at all levels of government — federal, state, and local — are more focused than ever on initiatives intended to reduce current and future impacts of climate-related events. Concurrent with this newfound interest, the federal government has made available unprecedented resources for states and localities to plan for and implement solutions to these challenges. However, federal agencies, states, and localities that are intent on using these resources effectively need to collaborate and form partnerships in an equally unprecedented way.

This course explores trends and best practices to bridge gaps between federal and state and state and local governments, thereby creating on-the-ground results that help communities understand and address current and future climate impacts.

Presenters from three levels of government provide an overview of federal funds and objectives to address resilience issues. State and local leaders describe how they leveraged partnerships and funds within their jurisdictions to plan for and implement robust resilience plans.
