The long-range transportation plan (LRTP) establishes regional goals and policy recommendations for public investments in transportation infrastructure and services. This edition of PAS QuickNotes summarizes federal requirements for LRTPs and explains how these plans serve as a critical bridge between state and local transportation plans while also providing an opportunity to align regional transportation initiatives with a wide range of regional priorities.
