Solar Energy

The city's code of ordinances allows accessory solar energy systems by right if the system is not visible from the street; otherwise, a special use permit is required. A building permit is required for solar system installation. If there 3 months of nonuse, the system is considered abandoned and must be removed. No utility-scale systems are permitted (§14.3.73-2).
