Solar Energy

The county's code of ordinances provides standards and permitting details for solar panels. It includes supplemental regulations addressing solar panels (§8.06) and emphasizes that a permit is required for all systems greater than 6 square feet in size. Panels must conform to required setbacks though some projection is permitted; freestanding panels must be located in the rear yard. A plot plan is required for freestanding solar panels.
