Solar Energy

The city's municipal code permits solar energy systems by right in all districts and establishes certain solar access protections. It establishes solar access protection by prohibiting the issuance of building permits for any structure that would shade more than 10 percent of an existing solar energy system, with certain limited exceptions (Chap. 16.145).
