Solar Energy

Section 3.5 of the county's Master Plan discusses the most abundant renewable energy resources in Nye County, which include solar. It discusses suitable land for solar development in the County and the solar projects under consideration for development (Section 3.5.1, Figure 7, Figure 8). Renewable energy goals, objectives, and policies involve promoting the use of alternative energy sources (including solar) and ensuring federal land management agencies develop an inventory of possible sites for solar (3.5.5. Goal 1 Objective 1, Policy A; 3.5.5. Goal 4 Objective 1).
