Food Systems

This city council resolution approves a list of food policy goals and actions developed by the Asheville Buncombe County Food Policy Council, committing to participating in efforts and supporting those goals.  The document establishes five goals addressing increasing food access, growing a regional food economy, reaching regional food production self-sufficiency, preparing for short-term food emergencies and long-term food security, and collaborating with regional partners to achieve food policy goals. The action plan lists 14 actions in support of those goals.
