Food Systems

This action plan focuses on actions that local governments within the region are planning to take within a 3–5 year timeframe to implement Metro's Regional Food System Strategy (2011). The plan demonstrates the many ways in which local governments can address a wide range of local food systems issues. For each of 21 strategies linked with one of five goals addressing increased food production, improved financial viability, healthy and sustainable food choices, access to healthy and affordable food, and ecological health, the plan identifies planned actions to implement that goal.
