Autonomous Vehicles

This web page provides findings from a test of how AVs might change the predicted outcomes of seven regional travel models from around the U.S. It founds that vehicle miles traveled would increase in all seven models, but regulatory requirements for ridesharing could partially mitigate that increase. Five of the seven models showed a decline in transit trips, while two showed increases. The quantitiative research data may be downloaded directly from the page.
