This report investigates the housing affordability crisis and shares data, including housing wage, housing costs, area median income, and renter households, for each state. It identifies wage stagnation, income inequality, rising rents, and an inadequate supply of affordable housing as primary drivers, and the federal Housing Trust Fund as a potential solution. A useful State Summary is provided before the individual state data is shared.
