APA Remembers the Life of Carlos Parra
It is with heavy hearts that the American Planning Association (APA) acknowledges the passing of our colleague, Carlos Parra. Carlos was an integral member of APA’s customer service team, serving the organization for more than 26 years. During his tenure at APA, Carlos was promoted several times. He last served as the senior associate, assisting members and managing invoicing processes. He could often be found at the National Planning Conference, assisting attendees with registration.
Originally from Guatemala City, Carlos made Chicago his home for several decades. He was a graduate of National Louis University.

Staff remember Carlos for his never-ending kindness and his willingness to help anyone. He added to the vibrancy of our office by maintaining a thriving plant collection, which now will be cared for by his team members in his honor. A moment of silence was also held in honor of Carlos at a recent all-staff meeting.
We extend our condolences to his wife and family.
