Invitation for Proposals, RFP Schedule and Point of Contact
The City of San Clemente (City) is interested in receiving proposals from Professional Services Contractors (Contractors) to prepare a National Register District Form for the North Beach Historic District, a historic entertainment district at the northern gateway to the City. The nomination will be submitted to the Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) for review by the OHP, the State Historical Resources Commission (SHRC), and the Keeper of the National Register of Historic Places (National Register) as described in detail in the attached Request for Proposal (RFP).
Schedule of Events from Issuance of the RFP to Award of Contract (all dates 2019):
- November 27: RFP issued
- December 13: Final day to submit proposals
- December 16: City will select candidates for interviews (if needed)
- December 16-20: City conducts interviews (if needed)
- December 20: City will consult with OHP regarding its selected Contractor
- December 23: Contractor notified of award

Individuals or firms interested in submitting a proposal are asked not to contact other members of the City of San Clemente staff or Councilmembers in connection with the RFP prior to the announcement of the consultant selected.

Proposal Closing Date:
Three copies of each contractor's proposal must be received by the City not later than 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019. All proposals must be delivered to the above address. The City reserves the right to extend the proposal deadline if it is determined necessary to allow for the receipt of a competitive number of proposals. The City will update all candidates who have expressed interest in the project should the deadline and corresponding timeline be extended.
Proposals will become part of the official files of the City of San Clemente and cannot be returned.
