This Request for Proposals (RFP) seeks a qualified firm to begin implementation and engineered plans/designs for the recently updated River Edge Master Plan in Wausau, WI.

The River Edge Parkway 2020 Master Plan Update

Particular areas of focus for this implementation and engineering services include:

• River Edge Trail between Thomas Street and Sturgeon Eddy Road (pg. 31-41)
• River Edge Trail between Winton Street and Gilbert Park (pg. 28-40)
• Prospect Avenue bicycle boulevard
• Some key on-road neighborhood connector segments to the River Edge Trail

The consultant will be expected to work closely with city staff to identify selected segments of the updated plan, and advance the implementation of those segments through the development of engineered plans and more detailed cost estimates, easement negotiation and acquisition on key sites, and other proposed activities that further the development of the selected trail segments.

• Provide engineered plans for selected trail segments.
• Provide easement acquisition services for selected trail segments.
• Discussion and negotiations with railroad officials for crossing improvements (if needed).
