Comprehensive Plan

City of Chandler

Chandler, OK

The City of Chandler, Oklahoma, is seeking qualified firms to provide professional services in the preparation of a new Comprehensive Plan. The last Plan was completed two decades ago and no longer meets the needs of the community. The Chandler City Council has created a nine-member Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee which will lead the upcoming planning process, and the selected firm will work together with the Committee in the development of this central policy document which will guide the community over the planning horizon.

The City of Chandler is the county seat of Lincoln County with a population of 3,100, but it is primed for development due to its convenient location on the Turner Turnpike halfway between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Chandler is also a "Mother Road" community with the historic Route 66 winding through its downtown. Chandler features numerous sites on the National Register of Historical Places, and the story of Oklahoma statehood is on full display in Chandler's historical district known as "Silk Stocking Row." The community offers plenty of recreational opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts as visitors travel here to take advantage of two lakes, three campgrounds, and 20+ miles of trails found within Chandler's municipal boundaries. The possibilities are endless in Chandler, and a new Comprehensive Plan will ensure the community retains its spirit of enthusiasm and continues to evolve in a positive direction.

Statements of qualification are due no later than 5:00 P.M. CST, Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Responses received after this time and date will not be accepted. Responses can either be sent electronically to citymanager@chandlerok.com or via mail to:
