Notice is hereby given that proposals will be received in the office of the Executive Director, Bayou Vermilion District, at 300 Fisher Road in Lafayette, Louisiana, until 3:00 p.m. Central time on the 10 day of January, 2025 for the following Bayou Vermilion District Master Plan Proposals received after the above-specified date and time shall not be considered and may not be returned to the sender.
Scope of Services:
Bayou Vermilion District (BVD) seeks an interdisciplinary team to prepare a comprehensive replacement for its Master Plan (1985) that will highlight success and accomplishments since the 1985 plan, address current challenges and needs, and chart a course for the next decades for the District to continue to achieve progress consistent with its mission. Bayou Vermilion District is seeking consultants with broad expertise in developing urban and watercourse plans with demonstrated experience in a variety of disciplines.
BVD anticipates hiring one prime planning firm that may include subcontractors with the required expertise. At least one principal or responsible member of the lead firm shall demonstrate at least 5 years of project management experience for projects of similar scope and budget. Proposers must provide examples of three projects of similar approach or scope.
Proposers (or their participating subcontractors) should demonstrate expertise in planning for: water quality, environmental science, land use, recreation and open spaces, economic development, and marketing. A Certification Statement authorizing the person signing the proposal is required to be submitted. Failure to submit a Certification Statement with the proposal shall be cause for rejection. Questions concerning the RFP must be addressed to Executive Director Stephen Broussard at ED@bayouvermiliondistrict.org. Evaluation of proposals shall be governed by the terms of the Request, available as described above.
Bayou Vermilion District will not pay for the development of or submission of any proposals in response to this RFP. Furthermore, BVD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
