Housing Resilience Plan
City of Bellevue
Bellevue, NE
The City of Bellevue, Nebraska, is a grantee from the State of Nebraska Department of Economic Development (NDED) Community Development Block Grant Disaster Grant (CDBG- DR) to prepare a multijurisdictional housing resilience plan.
The City in partnership with the City of Papillion, are requesting proposals from firms or teams experienced in municipal housing resiliency planning to develop a plan that will focus on reducing flood and climate change vulnerability and addressing affordable housing needs and conditions by incorporating sustainable, climate-resilient elements into long-term plans in the communities of Bellevue and Papillion.
The plan will assist the communities as they work to address rising housing needs compounded by increased frequency and severity of climate events, by outlining obtainable short and long-term housing and infrastructure goals by the municipalities. This approach will increase the viability of neighborhoods and create social and economic benefits.
