The professional consulting firm selected for this assignment will work closely with the City Council and City staff. The Administration Department will serve as the point of contact for this project and will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the strategic plan. This process should be open to and encourage participation from all segments of the City. Proposers should utilize a process that comprehensively and equitably evaluates the organization, and the community it serves, and develops a vision for the future. A strategic plan is a vital tool for local jurisdictions to ensure that the vision and priorities set by the City Council are clearly conveyed to employees and the community, and that City strategies and projects are developed to meet City Council priorities, and that overall city government is accountable to meeting community needs.
