A cultural present sprang from Beijing's industrial past
The 798 Arts District Vision Plan transformed a former weapons manufacturing facility into a cultural complex featuring art galleries, museums, and cafes. The development, now one of Beijing's most popular destinations, created jobs, generates revenue, and is an economic model emulated by other arts districts. APA honored the plan with the 2018 Pierre L'Enfant International Excellence Award.

Keep logging CM credits
With less than six months to go in the 2017–18 Certification Maintenance reporting period, it's a good time to review your accumulated credits. Not sure how many you have recorded? Check your CM log. Contact a CM customer service associate for help with logging CM credits or finding continuing education that meets CM ethics or law credit requirements.
|
CM exemption reminder
Requests for exemption from CM requirements must be filed no later than the last day of the member's two-year CM reporting period. For AICP members in the 2017–18 reporting period, that deadline is December 31 of this year. To learn more, please visit the CM Exemptions webpage.
Members in this cohort who have not met their CM requirements by December 31 automatically will be granted a four-month grace period (through April 30, 2019) to earn and log the remaining required CM credits.

CM Q & A
Q: I'm in the CM 2017–18 reporting period. Should I notify APA after completing and logging my required CM credits?
A: No. Just continue adding credits to your CM log through the end of this year.
Beginning January 1, 2019, the CM tracking system will allow you to review, sign off, and close the 2017–18 reporting period in your log. Any CM credits you have earned in excess of the requirements (up to a maximum of 16 credits, and not including ethics or law credits) will be carried over into the 2019–20 CM reporting period.
