Vernadero Group Inc. is a Veteran-Owned Small Business founded in 1999 to provide infrastructure and environmental program support to Federal agency projects and activities throughout the United States and its territories. Vernadero seeks a Military Master Planner to provide master planning support for the Office of the Chief of Army Reserve (OCAR), Army Reserve Installation Management Directorate (ARIMD). The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Military Construction Army Reserve (MCAR), Real Estate, and Asset Management programs for ARIMD. ARIMD is responsible for more than 1,400 properties situated across the Nation. The position supporting ARIMD is a hybrid work environment, with both remote work and an office located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Candidates should possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, Geography, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional military master planning experience
  • Experience facilitating planning charrettes
  • Knowledge of federal laws applicable to environmental regulations and land use control
  • Proficiency in computer operations including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills including dealing with senior officials
  • Highly organized, fast learner, and able to work in a complex environment
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to travel nationwide
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Ability to achieve Government security clearance

Preference will be given to candidates that possess:

  • Graduate degree in a planning-related field
  • AICP Certification
  • Experience with MILCON activities
  • Experience with the Department of Army, the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR), and relevant USAR policy directives
  • Experience preparing technical assessments of facilities in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria Installation Master Planning 2-100-01 and the publications in Part 6
  • Experience preparing economic analysis using ECONPAC and DD1391s in PAX
  • Experience with the Department of the Army database and software packages including RPLANS, ASIP, Army Mapper, GFEBS, HQIIS, ISR and ENBOSS
