The Senior Planner will serve as an intermediary between the public, developers, builders, engineers, government agencies, and local and county officials, overseeing planning-related activities.

Performs a range of planning functions from planning reviews and zoning ordinance modifications to advanced planning that may involve updates to the Comprehensive Plan and similar long range planning efforts.

Manages projects related to development and land use applications ensuring adherence to all applicable ordinances, regulations and standards. Instrumental in crafting and administering city zoning and subdivision ordinances.

Prepares and presents in-depth technical reviews on development proposals and provides essential guidance to Boards, Commissions and City Council.
