The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) OF WASHOE COUNTY, NEVADA, an integrated transportation agency that serves as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), transit authority, and street and highway construction agency invites applications for the position of Senior Technical Planner.

THE SENIOR TECHNICAL PLANNER, under limited supervision, performs complex professional work on advanced transportation planning projects, develops and conducts multimodal transportation system analysis, conducts and coordinates professional planning studies to achieve RTC transportation priorities and regulatory compliance objectives, prepares federal grant applications, conducts safety data management and analysis, and provides leadership in community outreach activities. Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the long-range Regional Transportation Plan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning, geography, civil engineering, or related field and five to seven (5-7) years of planning experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
