The Kodiak Island Borough is accepting applications for the position of Associate Planner to provide long-range planning in the Community Development Department. This is a regular, full-time, non-exempt, union position.

This position is part of the Community Development Department team and responds to inquiries regarding zoning, subdivision and real property codes, adopted plans, and other technical planning information; provides technical guidance and assistance in the issuance of required permits and the submission of applications for land use actions; performs analyses and other associated Planning & Zoning Commission, Parks & Recreation Committee, and Local Emergency Planning Committee activities; and participates in the development and implementation of various plans/grants. The position also provides technical advice and recommendations to the Manager, Assembly, Borough Committees, and advisory boards.
