We are seeking a senior-level Technical Project Manager for Web and PWA Development to join our team in any of our MIG offices (CA, CO, TX, OR, NY, or WA states only). This is a key technical role responsible for successfully executing complex Web and Progressive Web Application projects. This position ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business goals. The Senior Technical PM will mentor teams, navigate challenges, and implement best practices in technical, project management, and business development domains. MIG supports a hybrid remote/in-office schedule but encourages in-person work for learning and team-building opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Teammate: Work as part of a multidisciplinary community that produces web solutions for public and private-sector clients.
• Project Management and Strategy:
  • Lead multiple high-complexity web and PWA development projects simultaneously, overseeing project teams and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project strategies, resource planning, timelines, and budget forecasts, aligning with long-term business objectives.
  • Drive decision-making, providing regular strategic insights on project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Technical Expertise and Oversight:
  • Provide technical oversight of web and PWA development, ensuring industry best practices, performance standards, and scalable architecture.
  • Act as the technical liaison between development teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical challenges into actionable business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot critical technical issues and guide the implementation of advanced solutions.
• Advanced Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the senior point of contact and subject-matter expert for key clients and internal executive stakeholders, providing expert guidance and ensuring all expectations are met/exceeded.
  • Lead stakeholder engagements, including requirement-gathering workshops, progress reviews, and post-launch evaluations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage complex stakeholder dynamics and conflicting priorities while maintaining strong relationships and trust.
• Process Optimization and Innovation:
  • Drive continuous improvement across the project management lifecycle by implementing and refining methodologies, processes, and tools for higher efficiency and delivery standards.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate emerging technologies and innovative practices into web and PWA development processes, staying ahead of market trends and technical advancements.
  • Oversee the quality assurance process, establishing best practices for testing, code reviews, and product performance monitoring.
• Team Support and Mentorship:
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship, to junior project managers and technical team members.
  • Make recommendations to Principal/Director of the department.
• Marketing, Sales, and Business Development:
  • Proposal Development and Strategy:
    • Lead the development of proposals and project bids, collaborating with marketing, sales, and technical teams to ensure proposals align with client needs and organizational capabilities.
    • Work closely with the business development team to identify new business opportunities, create tailored project pitches, and craft winning strategies for securing contracts.
    • Develop pricing strategies for complex web and PWA projects, factoring in market trends, project complexity, and resource requirements to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proposals are technically feasible and reflect an understanding of client objectives, providing innovative solutions.
    • Review and refine the proposal process, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with evolving business strategies.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
    • Actively engage in pre-sales and client onboarding activities, building strong relationships with potential clients through technical insights, clear communication, and strategic guidance.

Experience and Qualifications

To accomplish these responsibilities, you can manage competing priorities, think critically/creatively, work as part of a collaborative team in an open or remote environment, and maintain a sense of humor and camaraderie. In addition, you will have some combination of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically in web and PWA development.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex web development projects through the full project lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Deep technical expertise in web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks), web app architecture, and PWA standards.
• Extensive experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and advanced proficiency in project management tools.
• Strong expertise in business development, proposal writing, and client engagement for technical projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You have a professional demeanor, positive attitude, with time management skills and a sense of urgency and responsibility/dedication to ensure tasks are carried through to completion and in a timely manner.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on mentoring, team development, and building strong client relationships.
• Ability to develop effective marketing and sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and work collaboratively with internal teams to drive growth.
• You are a proactive, detail-oriented, organized and adaptable teammate who can work under deadlines and is willing to pitch in to help others.
• Experience working with public-sector clients is a plus.

This is a full-time, hourly position with eligibility for overtime pay. The pay range for this position is $38-55/hour, depending on location, skills and experience. Candidates may be required to take a skills assessment in web design, development, QA testing, and project management.
