The City of Leavenworth, KS seeks a proven, strategic, and innovative leader with a demonstrated record in managing community and economic development priorities to be its next Planning & Community Development Director. Under the general direction of the City Manager, the Director is responsible for providing overall supervision of planning and zoning, housing, development, code enforcement and federal grant activities for the City.

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in urban planning, public administration, or related field. Candidates should have at least five years of progressively responsible municipal planning experience, including two as a manager. Advanced Degree in urban planning would be a plus. American Planning Association credentials are preferred, as is Housing Management Certification and certification through the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Salary Range: $86,558 - $108,198 DOQ plus excellent benefits package.
