The City of Richardson is currently searching for its next Director of Development Services following the retirement of a long-tenured director.  The new Director should understand the technical aspects related to municipal management of development while also being a strong leader, excellent communicator, proven coach and mentor, and a team builder.  

The Development Services Department is responsible for planning and development and engineering and works closely with the newly created Economic Development Department as Richardson is 97% built out and is continuing to redevelop as the demands from the citizen and business sectors require. 

Bachelor's degree required in public administration, city planning or closely related field; Master's degree and American Institute of Certified Planners certification is preferred.
