Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Economic Development Administrator, plans, organizes, and coordinates marketing, media relations, advertising, and/or the production of routine copy for publications with a focus on areas related to economic development. This position implements various marketing and public relations plans for economic development, business retention and attraction, small business development and support, and publications promoting the economic vitality of county government and the business community it serves. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Two (2) years of related experience in any combination of public or private business, real estate, or economic development or housing.
- Must possess, or ability to obtain within first sixty days of employment and maintain thereafter a valid New Mexico Class "D" driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Economics, Public or Business Administration or related field.
- Two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in municipal government, experience in economic/community development-related activities.
