The Town of Jackson, Wyoming, intends to fill one of these two positions.

Associate or Senior Planner - Hiring Salary: $81,300 - $131,000 DOQ.

Associate Planner duties include compliance review, writing of staff reports, and public presentations to Planning Commission and Town Council; sign permit processing, administrative duties, phone/walk in customer service, business licenses and building plan checks.

Senior Planner duties include compliance review for wide variety of current projects; writing of staff reports and public presentations; and assisting as needed with long-range planning projects, such as drafting amendments to the Land Development Regulations. Tasks also include technical support to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Town Council. Must possess the ability to provide high-level customer service to the public, be well-organized, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proud to adhere to the Town's professional values.

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications: An undergraduate degree (graduate degree preferred) in planning, architecture, landscape architecture, or a related field and up to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in resort planning, urban design or related discipline.
