Position Description:
MCCOG is looking for a qualified professional to serve as a Senior Planner on its Community Planning and Design Team. As a planner with the agency, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape communities within our region. This position blends long-range and current planning and design, guiding the growth and development of the region in a way that preserves the environment while enhancing its functionality. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
You have demonstrated experience in urban design principles, practices, and their applicability to a community or the region. You have excellent writing and speaking skills and understand data development, data usage, and data analysis. Experience working with professionals from other disciplines, such as community and economic development, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, transportation, and land use. You can collaborate with internal and external organizations. Experience in presenting and working with diverse audiences and settings. Technical skills include proficiency with Adobe Suite products, ArcGIS Pro, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office Suite.
