The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly organized, self-starter that is capable of delivering exceptional customer service both internally and externally. Experience in contributing to a major regulatory initiative is highly desired. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, are essential.
This senior level position will act as the department's point of contact for the planned update of the City's award-winning Comprehensive Plan and would work with an outside consultant, departmental staff, and external stakeholders collaboratively to bring the update process to completion. Additional activities of this position could include complex development case management to neighborhood planning, to general development code maintenance, to working on transportation-related planning projects as part of the City's metropolitan planning organization (MPO) CATSO. This range of activities will afford the selected candidate an opportunity to expand their depth of professional experience/knowledge and assist in guiding community growth over the next decade.
