The City of Jonestown seeks a skilled, independent thinker and strategist to work closely with the Development Services Director.

The Senior Planner must have experience in professional planning and land development and the ability to serve as an intermediary between the public, developers, builders, engineers, governmental agencies, and local officials, overseeing planning-related activities.

Performs a range of planning functions from planning reviews and zoning ordinance modifications to advanced planning that may involve updates to the Comprehensive Plan and similar long range planning efforts.

Manages projects related to development and land use applications ensuring they adhere to all applicable ordinances, regulations and standards. Instrumental in crafting and administering the city's zoning and subdivision ordinances.

Prepares and presents in-depth technical reviews on development proposals and provides essential guidance to Boards, Commissions, and City Council.
